Olentangy Orange’s Hockey team ended an incredible 2011-2012 season. The Orange Pioneers entered the district tournament as #4 seed and defeated Oxford Talawanda, Cincinnati Moeller, and Olentangy Liberty in Columbus District Tournament games. Westerville South Wildcats and Westerville Central Warhawks, two OCC Cardinal Division teams, faced off in round two of Division I Central District Boys Basketball Tournament on Wednesday February 29th. An intense battle between cross-town rivals ended with a close Wildcat victory. Central led up to the last seconds of the first quarter, when South’s Isiah Rogers sunk a 3 pointer. Grove City Wins Central District Gymnastic Meet
For the first time in the meet’s 39-year history, Grove City High School was awarded the district team champion title. Dublin Coffman was runner up and Thomas Worthington placed third. Seventh seeded Olentangy (19-2-0) played Westland (6-15-0) in their first tournament game of the season on February 15th at Olentangy Orange High school. Olentangy came out on top, defeating Westland with a score of 52-42 and will continue in the OHSAA Central District Tournament. Olentangy entered the playoffs as the top team in the OCC Cardinal Division, while Westland was seventh in the Central division.
